Bloody Mary - neocaridina davidi

The Bloody Mary is a captivating and highly sought-after color morph of the Neocaridina davidi dwarf shrimp. Prized by aquarists worldwide, this variety showcases an intensely deep red coloration that surpasses the standard Red Cherry Shrimp in both richness and visual impact.

Coloration: Bloody Mary shrimp are distinguished by their deep, solid, opaque red pigment that saturates the entire body, shell, and legs. What sets them apart is the source of this dramatic color—unlike Red Cherry Shrimp, whose pigmentation resides in the outer epidermis, the Bloody Mary's intense crimson originates within the muscle tissue itself, creating a remarkably deeper, richer red that appears almost wine-dark in premium specimens.

Size & Selection: We offer a mix of young juveniles, approximately 1–1.2 cm in size. Larger specimens around 1.5 cm may be available depending on stock.

Origin: Bred in-house in Lithuania at our facility.

Neocaridina shrimp flourish in most dechlorinated tap water, making them an excellent choice for both beginners seeking dramatic color and experienced aquarists building premium breeding colonies.

Care Parameters: These hardy shrimp adapt beautifully to a wide range of conditions. Our colony thrives at: TDS: 200, pH: 7.5, KH: 4-5, GH: 7-8, Temperature: 22-23°C.
