Pure Red Line (K14) - Caridina

The Pure Red Line (PRL) K14 Shrimp is a pinnacle grade of ornamental dwarf shrimp, a selectively bred variant of the Crystal Red Shrimp (Caridina cantonensis). The K14 designation identifies a specimen of the highest genetic purity and aesthetic quality.

Pure Red Lineage: This strain has been selectively bred over many generations without outcrossing to enhance white color (e.g., with Golden Bee Shrimp). This genetic integrity ensures the red and white pigments are strong and stable.

Highest Aesthetic Grade: K14 is the top tier on the German grading scale, signifying the maximum expression of opaque white color and the most desirable red patterning. It is often equivalent to the SSS+ grade on the International scale.

Size & Selection: We offer a mix of young juveniles, approximately 1–1.2 cm in size. Adult specimens, approximately 1.5 cm - 2.5 cm in size.

Origin: Bred in-house in Lithuania at our facility.

Caridina shrimp thrive in slightly acidic water conditions with low carbonate hardness (KH), which supports their overall health, successful molting, and optimal breeding performance.

Our tank parameters: TDS: 120, pH: 5.5-5.8, GH: 4-5, KH: 0-1, temp 22-23 °C.

Water Source: RO/DI Water & RemineralizerTap water is rarely suitable. Water is treated with GH-only mineral salt (e.g., Salty Shrimp GH+).

Soil: ADA v1.

Next-Day Dispatch:
Orders containing shrimp placed on Sunday will be dispatched on Monday. Orders placed on Wednesday will be dispatched the following Monday. Please note that shrimp are shipped only on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays to ensure safe handling and optimal delivery conditions.

Delivery within the Baltic States typically takes 1–3 business days, providing fast and reliable service.

Cold Weather Protection:
During the winter months, all shrimp shipments include a 72-hour heat pack as standard to maintain safe temperatures during transit.
