Bloody Mary - neocaridina davidi

The Bloody Mary is a popular and striking color morph of the Neocaridina davidi dwarf shrimp species. They are highly sought after in the aquarium hobby for their intensely deep red coloration, which is distinct from the more common Red Cherry Shrimp.

Coloration: Bloody Mary shrimp are characterized by a deep, solid, opaque red pigment that covers their entire shell and legs. Unlike Red Cherry Shrimp, whose red color originates in the outer skin (epidermis), the intense color of the Bloody Mary shrimp originates in the muscle tissue, resulting in a deeper, richer red.

Size we sell: a mix of young juveniles approximately 1-1.2 cm in size. We may release larger shrimp, around 1.5cm, depending on stock availability.

Temperature: 22-23 °C. We use no heaters; only room temperature.

Neocaridina shrimp thrive in most tap water conditions, provided a quality dechlorinator is used to neutralize chlorine and chloramines before introduction.
