Crystal Red Shrimp - Caridina

The Crystal Red Shrimp (CRS), a stunning color morph of Caridina cantonensis, is one of the most iconic and highly sought-after dwarf shrimp in the aquarium hobby. Prized for their brilliant pattern of opaque white and rich red bands, these captivating shrimp bring exceptional beauty and elegance to any dedicated shrimp tank.

Coloration: CRS are defined by their distinctive red and white banding pattern. Their quality is determined by a grading system (ranging from K0 to K14) based on the amount and opacity of white coverage. Higher grades feature more extensive, dense white coverage with less transparency, making them particularly valuable to collectors and enthusiasts.

Size & Selection: We offer a mix of young juveniles, approximately 1–1.2 cm in size. Larger specimens around 1.5 cm may be available depending on stock.

Origin: Bred in-house in Lithuania at our facility.

Caridina shrimp thrive in slightly acidic water conditions with low carbonate hardness (KH), which supports their overall health, successful molting, and optimal breeding performance.

Our tank parameters: TDS: 120, pH: 5.5-5.8, GH: 4-5, KH: 0-1, temp 22-23 °C.

Water Source: RO/DI Water & RemineralizerTap water is rarely suitable. Water is treated with GH-only mineral salt (e.g., Salty Shrimp GH+).

Soil: ADA v1.

Next-Day Dispatch:
Orders containing shrimp placed on Sunday will be dispatched on Monday. Orders placed on Wednesday will be dispatched the following Monday. Please note that shrimp are shipped only on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays to ensure safe handling and optimal delivery conditions.

Delivery within the Baltic States typically takes 1–3 business days, providing fast and reliable service.

Cold Weather Protection:
During the winter months, all shrimp shipments include a 72-hour heat pack as standard to maintain safe temperatures during transit.
