⚠️ Important – Emersed Grown Plant

Our Bucephalandra is grown emersed (above water) under controlled conditions. This means the plant will go through a conversion period once placed in your aquarium. During this transition from emersed to submerged growth, leaf melt is normal and expected — existing leaves may yellow and die back as the plant adapts to underwater conditions.
Do not throw the plant away if this happens. The rhizome stores all the energy the plant needs and will push new, fully submerged leaves within a few weeks. Keep water parameters stable and avoid stressing the plant during this period.

Bucephalandra Pink Lady

The Bucephalandra Pink Lady is one of the more distinctive Buce varieties available — featuring olive green leaves with pink-tinted stems and subtle hints of pink and red that emerge beautifully under good lighting. Larger than many Buce varieties, it makes a genuine statement piece in both nano tanks and larger aquascapes.

Care Guide

  • Light: Low to Medium — pink colouration intensifies under stronger light
  • CO2: Not required, but beneficial
  • pH: 6.0 – 7.5
  • Planting: Epiphyte — attach to rock or driftwood. Never bury the rhizome in substrate.
  • Note: As an emersed grown plant, some leaf melt may occur during the transition to submerged conditions. The rhizome will push new growth within a few weeks.
